(Mar. 23, 2016 21:00 EST) — CULVER CITY, Calif. — The Young Turks feel the Bern.

For months, the progressive online news program, which has amassed 2.4 million subscribers since it started live streaming on YouTube in 2005, has been trying to get the Democratic presidential candidate to appear on their show.

But it wasn’t until late Tuesday night that the Young Turks found out it was actually happening — thanks to help from a fan petition and a lucky opening in Sanders’ schedule during his Los Angeles visit.

Bernie Sanders Appearing on TYTNetworks for a One-on-One Interview Tonight at 6 pm Eastern

(Mar. 23, 2016 12:45 EST) — TYTNetworks said last night during their election coverage that they will have Bernie Sanders on their show for a one-on-one interview tonight at 6 p.m. eastern. This comes after a persistent effort by them to schedule the interview.

Two days ago TYT host Cenk Uygur expressed frustration as to why Sanders had not appeared on his show yet (See YouTube Mar. 21, 2016 video link below). During the broadcast, Uygur analyzed the benefits of appearing on main stream media outlets like CNN, MSNBC and Fox, where the average age of these networks viewers was in the mid to late 60’s. He also discussed the benefits of appearing on his show as well.

Uygur agreed with Sanders’ campaign rational of seeking to appear on the typical main stream media networks because, “They vote more, and they needed to be persuaded away from Hillary Clinton,” Uygur said when referring to the older voters watching CNN, MSNBC and Fox.

20160322_2300 Bernie Sanders on the Young Turks March 23 at 6 pm (TYT).jpg However, Uygur also feels that Sanders should be trying to reach people who are under the age 65.

Sanders has already garnished the support of the younger voter. This has been seen time and time again in the voting demographics thus far in the primary election.

Therefore why should Sanders appear on a show that basically caters to that lower-aged demographic he has already gotten support from? Uygur points out that TYTNetworks, “has a large progressive audience that is under the age 65.”

So appears that TYTNetwork’s persistence has paid off and managed to schedule Sanders for tonight’s one-on-one interview with Uygur.

“If your trying to run a revolutionary campaign that’s against the establishment, then why do you keep going and begging the establishment for favors,” Uygur said.

“Why don’t you come to the media that is actually revolutionary.”

Florida Courthouse Hosting Early Voting Allows Campaigning on Property

VOLUSIA Fla. (Mar. 5, 2016) — Early voting started today in Florida permitting its residence to get a head start in this year’s presidential primary elections.

Being only the first day, the Volusia Courthouse was met with both voters and campaigning activity.

Campaign signs for both Trump and Clinton were affixed inside and around the Volusia Courthouse’s parking lot that services the courthouse where the election polling stations are at.

The poll station volunteers were asked about the signs and said there was no problem, “as long as they were 100 feet away from the building.” The emphasis here was from the building, and not the property.

Weather the 100 foot rule applies to the government property or building has yet to be clarified pending a review of the matter by city, state and federal election law officials.

Campaign advocates seeking to promote early voting for both Hillary and Sanders campaigns were also out front of the courthouse. They stood outside the 100 foot distance and were across the street not obstructing any entrance into the polling station building.

When asked why the election process at the Volusia courthouse permitted the Trump and Clinton sighs to e posted in the parking lot to the building, one poll person said, “as long as it’s 100 feet from the building,” that it was okay.

Early voting will continue until Mar. 12. Then two days later on Mar. 15, the general primary election will take place.

Bernie Sanders Arrest Photo Proves He Walks the Walk

by Daryl Parsons

(Feb. 19, 2016 22:00) Some people may think having a photograph of you being arrested may lead to undesirable publicity, shame, and ridicule. However, in the case where the photograph shows Bernie Sanders getting arrested for demonstrating during the civil rights movement, well, that is another story.

“The black-and-white photo shows a 21-year-old Sanders, then a University of Chicago student, being taken by Chicago police toward a police wagon. An acetate negative of the photo was found in the Tribune’s archives, said Marianne Mather, a Chicago Tribune photo editor.”

Talking about having a proven record.

Elizabeth Warren’s Social Contract: ‘There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own’

20110922_1200 Elizabeth Warren on The Myth of Class Warfare (addMoreJuice)(YT).jpg (Feb. 18, 2016 21:45 ET) Since Bernie Sanders’ rise in the polls after putting up tough competition in Iowa and in New Hampshire against the purported “inevitable” contender Hillary Clinton, there has been a lot of talk about who Sanders’ running mate may be.

Many have contemplated Sen. Elizabeth Warren as an ideal candidate who has sported parallel stances on issues the Sanders campaign has been touting during his campaign.

Only speculation can be derived as to why Warren has not outwardly “endorsed” Sanders.

Perhaps she is allowing her supporters to make up their own minds and determinations by looking at her stances on the issues, and not who she may be endorsing for the presidency.

The impassioned Warren, while campaigning in August 2011, made some impacting remarks captured on video and then subsequently posted on YouTube the following month in September.

One of Warren’s most resonating quotes from that Andover, Mass., meeting, “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody,” has left a favorable impression with her supporters.

You can watch the 2-minute video and read a transcript of that meeting below.

Video:

Transcript:

From 00:55:
There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own.
Nobody.
You built a factory out there – good for you.
But I want to be clear.
You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for.
You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate.
You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for.
You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory,
and hire someone to protect against this because of the work the rest of us did.
Now look. You built a factory and it turned into something terrific or a great idea.
God Bless!
Keep a hunk of it.
But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.

Susan Sarandon: ‘I don’t vote with my vagina’

20160218_1800 Bernie 2016 Susan Sarandon Not a Vagina Voter v1.jpg (Feb. 18, 2016 19:00 ET) In case you missed it, actress Susan Sarandon has endorsed and is voting for Sen. Bernie Sanders to be the next president of the United States. Sarandon has been a stanch supporter of Sanders, and has spoken at many of his rallies.

In January Sarandon spoke at a Sanders rally in Brooklyn, N.Y. She said she has fallen in disfavor of some women.

Speaking to a large crowd Sarandon explained, “I don’t vote with my vagina,” she said. “It is so insulting to women to think that you would follow a candidate just because she’s a woman.”

“He (Sanders) is just right on. Every single thing he has said was prescient, strong and brave.”
