(May 28, 2016 03:05 a.m. ET) — The Democratic presidential candidate told Bill Maher on “Real Time” Friday night that he’d have “loved” to discuss policy issues with the real estate mogul.

He even clenched his fists in anticipation of the televised scrap. But he was left disappointed after The Donald flip-flopped over the issue at least four times, before eventually pulling out.

(May 27, 2016 6:00 p.m.) — Bernie Sanders returned to the Young Turks for the second time for a one-on-one interview with host Cenk Uygur.

Sanders was asked about the possibility of holding a one-on-one debate with Donald Trump, his campaign for president, and the democratic process and other policy and related issues.

The Young Turks vouched to donate $1M to charity in support of, and in response to Donald Trump’s earlier claims that he would debate Sanders for $10M to be donated to charity.

The prospect of a debate between Trump and Sanders has not been finalized and hinges on Donald Trump committing to follow through with the debate.

(May 27, 2016 7:26 a.m.) — The Young Turks online program is offering up $1 million to host a debate between Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.

“We are now offering $1 million to charity in order to have that debate,” Young Turks host Cenk Uygur said at a dinner at the National Press Club in Washington on Thursday night.

“This is a very real offer,” Uygur said, adding that Trump and Sanders could pick the charity.

“It is our belief that the Bernie Sanders campaign is already in,” Uygur said, adding notices had been sent to both campaigns and the program was waiting to hear back from Trump.

(May 26, 2016 08:57) — Though the primary season is not yet finished, Democratic contender Bernie Sanders has challenged the Republican nominee Donald Trump to a one-on-one debate in California. Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton has refused to debate Sanders.

In a Wednesday appearance on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Trump was asked if he would consider holding a debate with Sanders, reading the challenge that was written in a letter by the Democratic candidate.

“Hillary Clinton backed out of an agreement to debate me in California before the June 7th primary,” the letter read. “Are you prepared to debate the major issues facing our largest state and the country prior to the California primary?”
