(July 5, 2016 3:00 p.m.) — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has always tried to stay out of the scandal surrounding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server, even famously saying he was “tired” of hearing about her “damn emails” in an early debate between the two Democrats running for the party’s presidential nomination. But what is Bernie Sanders’ reaction to the FBI’s recommendation on Clinton’s email scandal just released today? He says it has no impact on his candidacy.

Sanders is in a weird spot. He’s no longer actively campaigning for president, but his campaign is still active. Sanders hasn’t suspended his campaign, but has said in interviews he will vote for and support Clinton and is willing to do whatever it takes to help defend Donald Trump, adding “It doesn’t appear that I’m going to be the nominee,” during an interview with CSPAN, The Hill reported.

If Hillary Clinton Is Indicted, Would Bernie Sanders Be The Nominee?

(July 1, 2016 08:00 a.m.) — On Friday in a press conference, Attorney General Loretta Lynch vowed to “accept” investigators’ and prosecutors’ recommendations regarding whether to indict presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s alleged use of an insecure email server. This announcement set aside whisperings that Lynch would be a safety net for Clinton if an indictment was recommended, particularly in light of a certain tarmac rendezvous with Bill.

While Clinton waits to hear her fate, some wonder if an indictment would help the all-but-defunct campaign of her rival, Bernie Sanders. Looking at the inevitable domino reaction that could come with an indicted presidential candidate, the question becomes, could Sanders become the nominee if Clinton is indicted?

(June 4, 2016 10:18 a.m.) — Bernie Sanders looked as if he would limp into the California primary and watch his upset bid over Hillary Clinton fizzle, but a surge in the polls and rumblings that superdelegates committed to Clinton may be showing hesitation has given his campaign new energy.

In recent weeks, Clinton appeared to hold a wide lead over Sanders in the Golden State. Polls showed her lead to be somewhere in the range of 15 to 18 points over Bernie Sanders, pointing to a win that would seal the nomination, thanks to Clinton’s big lead in the party-picked superdelegates, many of whom committed to her before a single vote was cast this year.

The past week saw an abrupt change, however. The latest set of polls from California showed the two candidates in a dead heat, and a new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll this week found that Sanders had actually taken a slim lead.

If Bernie Sanders Isn’t Democratic Nominee, Don’t Blame Bernie or Bust

(Monday, April 25, 2016 10:04 am) — Why would Bernie or Bust voters risk a future with Donald Trump by refusing to vote for Hillary Clinton?

It’s structural change Bernie or Bust wants; it’s the status quo that Clinton voters want to uphold. I state the case for writing-in Bernie Sanders, if he isn’t the Democratic nominee, in this YouTube segment.

As we’ve heard throughout this election, “Don’t let perfection be the enemy of the good.”

(Mar. 2, 2016 20:20 pm) The Justice Department has granted immunity to a former State Department staffer, who worked on Hillary Clinton’s private email server, as part of a criminal investigation into the possible mishandling of classified information, according to a senior law enforcement official.

The official said the FBI had secured the cooperation of Bryan Pagliano, who worked on Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign before setting up the server in her New York home in 2009.
