(Mar. 31, 2016 18:00) — Stephen Colbert pushes Elizabeth Warren to choose between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton

Elizabeth Warren visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday to promote the new edition of her book, A Fighting Chance. During the interview, host Stephen Colbert asked the popular Democratic senator why she’s refused to endorse either Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton, and her thoughts on Donald Trump.

The comedian first asked Warren if she was surprised by the success that Sanders has had against Clinton. She responded that she feels that both candidates have done a good job of making the case that Washington isn’t working for most people. Colbert continued to push her on which candidate’s approach is more appealing to her, asking whether she’s on board with Sander’s revolution or Clinton’s “slow and steady” strategy.

Clinton now leads Sanders by 12 points in New York’s Democratic primary, according to a Quinnipiac Poll released Thursday. A poll in February showed Sanders 21 points behind Clinton in New York, and another in March showed him 48 points behind.

(Mar. 28, 2016 02:54 pm) — As the Bernie Sanders campaign accepts the reality that securing enough votes at this point to win the Democratic nomination outright is impossible, it has moved on to a new phase in its long-shot bid for the White House: hijack Hillary Clinton’s so-called superdelegates.

Sanders advisors are targeting these party leaders and elected officials who have outsized influence in deciding who gets to be the Democratic nominee, and whom Hillary Clinton moved swiftly and aggressively to lock down early in the race. Each one of their votes at the convention in July is weighted as heavily as those of thousands of voters.

(Mar. 26, 2016) — Senator Bernie Sanders handily defeated Hillary Clinton on Saturday in the Washington State and Alaska caucuses, infusing his underdog campaign with critical momentum and bolstering his argument that the race for the Democratic nomination is not a foregone conclusion.

Mr. Sanders found a welcome tableau in the largely white and liberal electorates of the Pacific Northwest, where just days after routing Mrs. Clinton in Idaho he won another resounding victory in Washington. The Associated Press declared him the winner after early results showed him beating Mrs. Clinton by more than 50 percentage points. In Alaska, he had a nearly 60-point lead.
