RALEIGH, N.C. (Mar. 11, 2016 17:00) — Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders drew thousands of supporters to a rally in downtown Raleigh on Friday, four days before primary elections in North Carolina and four other states.

At least 1,000 people showed up who couldn’t get inside the 2,300-seat Memorial Auditorium, which was full. Sanders emerged on the steps of the venue and addressed the outside crowd before delivering his speech inside.

Vermont senator hopes to drum up liberal support for Kansas caucuses

LAWRENCE, Kan. (Mar. 3, 2016 22:19 pm) — Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders brought his campaign to Lawrence Thursday evening, hoping to get support for Saturday’s Kansas caucuses.

Sanders, who trails front-runner Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination, needs to pick up delegates anywhere he can.

“I think we’ll do pretty good here in Kansas,” Sanders said.

YPSILANTI (Feb. 15, 2016 20:43 ET) — The line snaked for several blocks as more than 9,000 people crowded into the Convocation Center at Eastern Michigan University to see Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders during his first visit to Michigan this election season.

The crowd, mostly young people, came to hear his messages on income inequality, the need for campaign finance reform and aggressive action to protect the environment. And Sanders did not disappoint.
