WASHINGTON (Apr. 11, 2016 21:08 pm) Bernie Sanders is still behind when it comes to delegates and votes, but he has one clear advantage over his Democratic and Republican presidential rivals — a lot of people actually like him.

By 48 percent to 39 percent, more Americans have a favorable than an unfavorable opinion of Sanders, giving him the best net-positive rating in the field, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll. Unlike the other candidates, Sanders also is doing better as more Americans get to know him: His favorable rating is up from an earlier AP-GfK poll.

(Apr. 10, 2016 1:42 pm) — Sen. Bernie Sanders is not pleased with former President Bill Clinton’s assertion that female presidential candidates are subconsciously held to a different standard from male candidates.

In an interview with CNN that aired on Sunday, Sanders sarcastically hit back at Clinton for suggesting that “gender was a factor” in Sanders’ criticism of Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton as unqualified to be president.

“I appreciate Bill Clinton being my psychoanalyst. It’s always nice,” Sanders said.

(Saturday, April 9, 2016 6:34 pm) — Bernie Sanders was declared the winner in the 2016 Wyoming Democratic caucus keeping his wave of momentum alive with the caucus being his seventh victory in a row. The win was no surprise for the Vermont senator who was expected to win Wyoming being a Western caucus state with a largely white electorate.

Democrats gathered across the state to allocate 14 of the state’s pledged delegates. Wyoming has 4 superdelegates that have already backed Clinton. While the win keeps the Sanders campaign alive it does not do much to affect Clinton’s overall delegate lead ahead of the key New York primary where 291 delegates are at stake. The primary will take place April 19.

It was the first time in decades a presidential candidate spoke in the South Bronx. He spoke alongside director Spike Lee and actress Rosario Dawson, who is known for her role in Kids and many other films, including Sin City: A Dame to Kill For as well as Rent.

After the rally DemocracyNow’s Amy Goodman caught up with Dawson while she was on the sidewalk with friends and asked her why she was supporting Bernie Sanders.

(Apr. 2, 2016 08:44 pm) — Even though political pundits and mainstream media talking heads buried Bernie Sanders campaign long ago, never really giving him any chance at all, the Vermont Senator is surging in Wisconsin after winning 6 out of the last 7 Democratic primary contests. Most of the recent Wisconsin polling has Sanders ahead of Hillary Clinton by a few points. This is a rather remarkable turnaround in Wisconsin as Sanders trailed the Democratic front-runner by over 40% a year ago.

On one hand, Bernie Sanders’ surge in Wisconsin makes perfect sense as Wisconsin is the birthplace of the progressive political movement, with a history of accommodating anti-establishment candidates. The political upset felt across the nation in Michigan is a good omen for the Sanders’ campaign in neighboring Wisconsin as both states utilize open primaries that allow independents to vote in the Democratic primary and independents overwhelmingly favor Sanders.
