(June 17, 2016 9:18 a.m.) — Everyone seems to know the Democratic race is over, except Bernie Sanders. The primary results are in, and the splenetic revolutionary was soundly defeated by Hillary Clinton. Yet Sanders is still fighting on, quickly burning his once substantial political capital, as the Democratic Party turns its attention to Donald Trump, a raving lunatic. Despite the terrifying prospect of a Trump presidency, he vowed again on Thursday night that he would bring his Future You Can Believe In to the convention and beyond.

“Election days come and go. But political and social revolutions that attempt to transform our society never end,” the Vermont senator told his supporters in a live video message. “They continue every day, every week, and every month in the fight to create a nation and world of social and economic justice. . . . That’s what this campaign has been about over the past year. That’s what the political revolution is about and that’s why the political revolution must continue into the future.”

Bernie Sanders Should Never Endorse Hillary Clinton

By Michael Sainato, Observer

(June 15, 2016 12:45 p.m.) — With the end of the Democratic primaries and several weeks to go until the Democratic National Convention in July, pressure from mainstream media for Bernie Sanders to drop out of the race is increasing.

“Hillary Clinton Made History, but Bernie Sanders Stubbornly Ignored It,” read a headline in The New York Times after Clinton was projected to win California—despite the LA Times reporting more than 2.5 million ballots (nearly half of the state’s six million votes) had yet to be counted. Yamiche Alcindor, the same Times reporter who claimed Sanders ignored history, also inferred Sanders’ decision to stay in the race was sexist, writing on June 12 “Bernie Sanders Refuses to Concede Nomination to Hillary Clinton.”

California Counts Millions of Provisional and Mail in Ballots Counties Flip for Bernie

(June 12, 2016 11:00 pm) — Even though The New York Times declared that Hillary Clinton “secured enough delegates for the Democratic nomination,” and later issued a correction blaming the erroneous statement due to “an editing error,” Hillary Clinton did not actually earn enough delegates to be declared the nominee of the Democratic Party. In fact, contrary to the call by the Associated Press, Clinton also has not actually won California either. There are still millions of ballots that remain uncounted that will indeed be counted as the official canvass progresses, according to the California Secretary of State’s office. As the canvassing got underway, things started to to look up for Bernie Sanders’ supporters.

In Los Angeles County 275,972 Vote-By-Mail, 256,326 Provisional and 24,021 ballots of another form still had to be counted as of Friday afternoon. This totals over 556 thousand ballots in Los Angeles County alone that will be counted, where Clinton’s lead over Sanders is just over 164 thousand votes. Los Angeles County could still go either way.

The votes simply aren’t all accounted for just yet, but they will be.

(June 5, 2016 11:00 pm) — Bernie Sanders still has a good chance to win the nomination. Clinton supporters want the public to think the primary is over, but that just isn’t true. There are still 714 winnable delegates in play, and an additional 67 delegates yet to be assigned when the votes are counted in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. So far, the counting process is going slowly.

On June 7, there will be 694 pledged delegates up for grabs, including 475 delegates from California. The District of Columbia will offer another 20 in the final primary on June 14, according to Real Clear Politics. In addition, another 67 delegates will be assigned for votes cast this weekend and are yet to be counted in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

By ADELLE NAZARIAN

SANTA CRUZ, California (June 1, 2016 8:41 am) — Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) held two rallies on the Central Coast on Tuesday, vowing to tackle the political “oligarchy” of “superdelegates” in the Democratic Party.

“Hillary can show you how absurd the current system is,” Sanders said, noting that the former Secretary of State had “received over 400 super delegates supporting her before anyone else was in the race… That is an absurd system and together we are going to change that system.”

Sanders spoke before 2,500 at the Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz, and at Colton Hall in Monterey, where almost double that number turned up.

‘A capacity to move voters’ : can California be Sanders’ golden state?

(May 29, 2016 7:05 a.m. ET) — After Hillary Clinton won the New York Democratic primary in April, her surrogates began relaying the message: game over, Bernie Sanders. Time to go home. It is mathematically impossible to win the nomination.

Technically, they were right. The rivals may be separated by only 270 pledged delegates, a large but not insurmountable gap, but that figure does not take into account the superdelegates who do not owe allegiance to any vote and almost all of whom – 571 – are already pledged to Clinton.

(May 27, 2016 7:50 a.m. ET) — Sen. Bernie Sanders appears to be closing in on Hillary Clinton in California, which holds the last major battle of the presidential primaries early next month.

A new Public Policy Institute survey of California released on Thursday found Sanders within two points of the former secretary of state, who garnered 46% support among likely Democratic primary voters.

As in other contests, a Clinton win will likely depend on her strength among older voters and minorities.

By Nathan Francis, Inquisitr.com

(May 8, 2016 17:00) — Bernie Sanders is looking to make a strong closing statement to the superdelegates who could determine his fate in the Democratic primary, and he may have it. Polls currently show he is headed for a big winning streak to end the voting season.

Sanders has fallen far behind front-runner Hillary Clinton, who now holds an edge of roughly 300 pledged delegates, but Sanders has been undaunted and has vowed to remain in the race until the final vote has been counted.

NEW YORK, (May 5, 2016 01:45 pm) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders vows to remain in the primary race “until the last vote is cast” in June.

Sanders said in an interview Thursday with NPR it’s a good thing that he’s staying in the race. Rather than preventing voters from supporting Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, he is boosting the political process.

(April 14, 2016 06:22) — NEW YORK, April 14 (UPI) — Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders opened their ninth debate with sharp attacks on each other five days ahead of the crucial New York primary.

Sanders fired first when asked about his recent criticism that Clinton was not “qualified” to be president.

“I’ve known Secretary Clinton, how long, 25 years? I said that in response to the kind of attacks we were getting form the Clinton campaign,” Sanders said. “Does Secretary Clinton have the experience and intelligence to be president? Of course she does. But I do question her judgment. Her judgment that voted for the war in Iraq, the worst foreign policy blunder in our nation’s history.”
