(Apr. 1, 2016 11:53 a.m.) — Bernie Sanders made big money in March, raising more than any other candidate in 2016 so far.
The Vermont senator raised $44 million in March. That beats his previous record of $43.5 million set in February.
So far, the Sanders campaign says it has raised $109 million in the first quarter of 2016 — over 97 percent of that was raised online.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign hasn’t released her numbers for March yet. In February, she brought in $30 million.
