(Mar. 26, 2016 11:12 EDT) — A small bird was apparently feeling the #Bern when it landed on Bernie Sanders’ podium during a rally in Portland on Friday.

To the delight of thousands in the crowd, the bird first landed on the stage and then perched on the podium.

“I think there may be some symbolism here,” Sanders said. “That bird is really a dove asking us for world peace. No more wars.”

By Stephen Dinan – The Washington Times

Sen. Bernard Sanders isn’t willing to give up his lawsuit against the Democratic Party just yet.

His presidential campaign informed a federal court Thursday that it had finally served the Democratic National Committee with the lawsuit, filed late last year after the DNC cut off Mr. Sanders’ access to the party’s voter data files.

Mr. Sanders’ lawyer said the move was meant to keep their legal options open as they negotiate with the DNC, and he said they are making progress in the months-old negotiations.

Voters Waited for Hours. Here’s Why.

(Thu Mar. 24, 2016 6:00 AM EDT) — Faith Decker, a 19-year-old sophomore at Arizona State University, got off work a little early Tuesday night so she could vote in her first-ever primary. She arrived at a church in southeast Phoenix just before 7 p.m. to find “the line wrapped completely around the corner, 300 to 400 people.” After waiting in that line for more than three hours, she finally reached the check-in desk. She was told that she couldn’t vote—not because the polls had closed three hours before, but because she was registered in a different county.

By Kylie Atwood, CBS NEWS

SAN DIEGO (Mar. 23, 2016, 17:36 PM) — Bernie Sanders called it a “disgrace” that some voters had to wait in line for hours to vote in Tuesday’s Arizona primary.

“In the United States of America, democracy is the foundation of our way of people,” Sanders said at a press conference here Wednesday. “People should not have to wait five hours to vote. And what happened yesterday in Arizona is a disgrace. I hope that every state in this country learns from that and learns how to put together a proper election where people can vote in a timely manner and then go back to work.”

Bernie Sanders Appearing on TYTNetworks for a One-on-One Interview Tonight at 6 pm Eastern

(Mar. 23, 2016 12:45 EST) — TYTNetworks said last night during their election coverage that they will have Bernie Sanders on their show for a one-on-one interview tonight at 6 p.m. eastern. This comes after a persistent effort by them to schedule the interview.

Two days ago TYT host Cenk Uygur expressed frustration as to why Sanders had not appeared on his show yet (See YouTube Mar. 21, 2016 video link below). During the broadcast, Uygur analyzed the benefits of appearing on main stream media outlets like CNN, MSNBC and Fox, where the average age of these networks viewers was in the mid to late 60’s. He also discussed the benefits of appearing on his show as well.

Uygur agreed with Sanders’ campaign rational of seeking to appear on the typical main stream media networks because, “They vote more, and they needed to be persuaded away from Hillary Clinton,” Uygur said when referring to the older voters watching CNN, MSNBC and Fox.

20160322_2300 Bernie Sanders on the Young Turks March 23 at 6 pm (TYT).jpg However, Uygur also feels that Sanders should be trying to reach people who are under the age 65.

Sanders has already garnished the support of the younger voter. This has been seen time and time again in the voting demographics thus far in the primary election.

Therefore why should Sanders appear on a show that basically caters to that lower-aged demographic he has already gotten support from? Uygur points out that TYTNetworks, “has a large progressive audience that is under the age 65.”

So appears that TYTNetwork’s persistence has paid off and managed to schedule Sanders for tonight’s one-on-one interview with Uygur.

“If your trying to run a revolutionary campaign that’s against the establishment, then why do you keep going and begging the establishment for favors,” Uygur said.

“Why don’t you come to the media that is actually revolutionary.”
