More Young People Voted for Bernie Sanders Than Clinton and Trump Combined

(June 21, 2016 4:54 p.m.) — Even though Bernie Sanders isn’t currently the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, the Vermont senator completely rocked the youth vote during the primaries. In fact, he received more votes from the under-30 set than Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton combined. According to The Washington Post, a report by the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University showed that Sanders won nearly 30% of the youth vote, which translated to over 2 million votes. Together, Trump and Clinton received 1.6 million.

(June 20, 2016 6:00 p.m.) — Hillary Clinton will soon be feeling the Bern in the form of millions of Bernie Sanders supporters bent on shaping history. They are fighting for a history with President Sanders and without another President Clinton.
Millions of angry protesters will descend on Philadelphia, PA ahead of the convention to attempt to sway superdelegates. Trained in nonviolent protests, they plan an Occupy-style protest for the length of the convention. Organizers predict Millions will attend. Many media outlets are predicting a smaller number in the tens of thousands. This figure, reported on Facebook, accounts for just one of dozens of groups participating.

Progressives want Sanders to remain force in congressional primaries

(June 18, 2016 9:19 pm EST) — Progressive leaders are urging Bernie Sanders to keep up his fight in primary battles across the country even as his campaign winds down.

Sanders has refused repeated calls to drop out and endorse presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. But he signaled a shift in priorities toward leaving a mark on the Democratic Party instead of contesting the nomination during a Thursday night address to supporters.

Part of that shift was a call to action to bring progressive ideas to down-ballot races, which has left Sanders supporters hopeful that he’ll continue to lend his star power to ushering progressives through their primaries and take on the party’s establishment.

The primary results are in, and the splenetic revolutionary was soundly defeated by Hillary Clinton. Yet Sanders is still fighting on, quickly burning his once substantial political capital, as the Democratic Party turns its attention to Donald Trump, a raving lunatic. Despite the terrifying prospect of a Trump presidency, he vowed again on Thursday night that he would bring his Future You Can Believe In to the convention and beyond.

“Election days come and go. But political and social revolutions that attempt to transform our society never end,” the Vermont senator told his supporters in a live video message. “They continue every day, every week, and every month in the fight to create a nation and world of social and economic justice. . . . (June 16, 2016 4:09 p.m.) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders neither announced the end of his campaign nor endorsed his rival Hillary Clinton during a live-stream address on Thursday night, but told supporters his call for political revolution will live beyond his campaign and this election.

“When we talk about transforming America, it is not just about transforming elections,” he said during the approximately 20-minute speech.

Though he said it was “no secret” he has “strong disagreements on some very important issues” with Clinton, Sanders said he looks forward to working with the presumptive Democratic nominee in the future. He also re-iterated his commitment to making sure that Donald Trump is soundly defeated in November.

(June 15, 2016 12:45 p.m.) — With the end of the Democratic primaries and several weeks to go until the Democratic National Convention in July, pressure from mainstream media for Bernie Sanders to drop out of the race is increasing.

“Hillary Clinton Made History, but Bernie Sanders Stubbornly Ignored It,” read a headline in The New York Times after Clinton was projected to win California—despite the LA Times reporting more than 2.5 million ballots (nearly half of the state’s six million votes) had yet to be counted. Yamiche Alcindor, the same Times reporter who claimed Sanders ignored history, also inferred Sanders’ decision to stay in the race was sexist, writing on June 12 “Bernie Sanders Refuses to Concede Nomination to Hillary Clinton.”

The Green Party is building a political home for Bernie Sanders, which may be especially appealing to him given the Dems’ relentless bullying.

After Hillary’s bitter drop out of the race for the Democratic nomination back in June of 2008, the establishment candidate’s vindication this year was to proclaim herself the Dem nominee on that eight-year anniversary — smack in the face of Sanders still being in the race and with complete disregard to the voters, who have not given her the required number of pledged delegates.

This and other dirty Dem moves have assaulted Bernie’s campaign, driving many of his supporters to continue their revolution under what may prove to be a much more effective platform – the Green Party.

California Counts Millions of Provisional and Mail in Ballots Counties Flip for Bernie

(June 12, 2016 11:00 pm) — Even though The New York Times declared that Hillary Clinton “secured enough delegates for the Democratic nomination,” and later issued a correction blaming the erroneous statement due to “an editing error,” Hillary Clinton did not actually earn enough delegates to be declared the nominee of the Democratic Party. In fact, contrary to the call by the Associated Press, Clinton also has not actually won California either. There are still millions of ballots that remain uncounted that will indeed be counted as the official canvass progresses, according to the California Secretary of State’s office. As the canvassing got underway, things started to to look up for Bernie Sanders’ supporters.

In Los Angeles County 275,972 Vote-By-Mail, 256,326 Provisional and 24,021 ballots of another form still had to be counted as of Friday afternoon. This totals over 556 thousand ballots in Los Angeles County alone that will be counted, where Clinton’s lead over Sanders is just over 164 thousand votes. Los Angeles County could still go either way.

The votes simply aren’t all accounted for just yet, but they will be.
