More Young People Voted for Bernie Sanders Than Clinton and Trump Combined

(June 21, 2016 4:54 p.m.) — Even though Bernie Sanders isn’t currently the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, the Vermont senator completely rocked the youth vote during the primaries. In fact, he received more votes from the under-30 set than Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton combined. According to The Washington Post, a report by the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University showed that Sanders won nearly 30% of the youth vote, which translated to over 2 million votes. Together, Trump and Clinton received 1.6 million.
