(April 27, 2016 6:30 AM) — Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has won the Connecticut primary, the Associated Press reports. With 84 percent of precincts reporting, she won 50.3 percent of the vote to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ 47.9 percent.

Clinton had a big night, winning four of five contests. As a result, the window of opportunity has all but slammed shut on Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s underdog bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Delaware: Hillary Clinton 12, Bernie Sander 9
Maryland: Hillary Clinton 59, Bernie Sanders 32

(April 26th, 2016 6:24 pm) — In railing against the “rigged” GOP delegate system for weeks, Donald Trump has taken to making bedfellows of Bernie Sanders and saying that both parties are being rather unfair to each of them.

Trump has repeatedly said it’s unfair that the Democrats have superdelegates who could potentially steer the ship, likening it to the delegate shenanigans in the GOP.

If Bernie Sanders Isn’t Democratic Nominee, Don’t Blame Bernie or Bust

(Monday, April 25, 2016 10:04 am) — Why would Bernie or Bust voters risk a future with Donald Trump by refusing to vote for Hillary Clinton?

It’s structural change Bernie or Bust wants; it’s the status quo that Clinton voters want to uphold. I state the case for writing-in Bernie Sanders, if he isn’t the Democratic nominee, in this YouTube segment.

As we’ve heard throughout this election, “Don’t let perfection be the enemy of the good.”

“It’s good for democracy, it’s good for the Democratic Party,” the self-described democratic socialist from Vermont told ABC’s “This Week.”

CHICAGO, (Saturday, April 23, 2016 4:20 pm) — The array of liberal groups that have come together to support Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders are beginning to plot a course forward in the event he does not win the party’s nomination.

Much like the candidate himself, the groups have not conceded defeat to front-runner Hillary Clinton, but NBC News reports several groups are planning a meeting in Chicago sometime in June, after voting has ended, to explore ways to continue the “political revolution” Sanders has sought to create with his campaign’s message assailing income inequality.

Yes, Bernie’s Plan to Make College Free Would Be a Gift to Rich Kids. That Doesn’t Make It a Bad Idea

(Friday, April 22, 2016 5:37 pm) — Nobody would ever accuse Bernie Sanders of trying to coddle the rich. But some certainly think his plan to abolish tuition at public colleges would end up wasting a whole lot of money on them. Hillary Clinton, for her part, likes to say she’s “not in favor of making college free for Donald Trump’s kids.”1 This week, meanwhile, a new report from Brookings confirms that getting rid of tuition entirely at state schools would disproportionately benefit upper-income students.

Does that really mean abolishing tuition at State U. is a terrible idea? Not necessarily. The fact that free college would benefit everyone from Trump to the people who clean his towers might actually be an argument in its favor.

Could Bernie Sanders Still Beat Hillary Clinton?

By Tierney McAfee, People.com
(Wednesday, April 20, 2016) — Bernie Sanders’ campaign is taking a “step back” after the Democratic hopeful lost his native New York to rival Hillary Clinton on Tuesday.

Pundits have all but declared the Democratic race over, and the fact that Sanders returned home to Vermont to take the day off on Wednesday – after his top strategist Tad Devine announced Tuesday night, “We’ll take a step back and then decide publicly what his intentions are” – doesn’t bode well for the Vermont senator’s presidential bid.

(Tuesday, April 19, 2016 9:09 pm) — Bernie Sanders criticized New York’s closed primary, decrying the fact that 27% of New Yorkers were ineligible to vote in Tuesday’s primary election because they are not registered with either major party.

“That’s wrong,” Sanders told a crowd at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. “I would hope that in future primary elections in New York state, the officials there make some fundamental changes about how they do business.”
